Photovoltaic Technology, also known as PV, is the cutting-edge solution that converts solar energy into usable power, providing you with the ability to generate electricity from light. Not only is this a sustainable and renewable energy source, but it also offers you the opportunity to save on conventional grid electricity consumption, or even to become entirely electrically self-sufficient by replacing your reliance on the grid. To maximize the benefits of the system you install, you will need to include other parts such as an inverter and, in the case of a hybrid system, a battery pack or bank. Trust in the power of PV technology to provide you with efficient and reliable energy in an environmentally responsible way.
Solar (PV) panels consist mainly of cells that are most commonly made from silicon, one of the most abundant resources on earth. These cells are connected together and encased in a protective shell behind a sheet of glass to form a solar module or panel.
When using a grid-tied solar system the energy from these panels flows into your inverter that is connected to the main distribution board of your house.
An interactive or hybrid solar system adds batteries to this setup, so the energy feeds into the batteries, where it is converted through the inverter to the correct voltage used in standard households. Should the charge of the batteries run out, your system will revert back to the standard electricity grid supplied by Eskom. An off-grid solar system is completely independent, so it does not revert back to Eskom, but can be supported by a standard generator with additional capacity
The products we use include, among others, for Single Phase and Three Phase:
Water heating contributes to a large portion of a household’s energy consumption, accounting for up to 60%. A heat exchange system can reduce this portion of a household’s electricity consumption by up to 65%.
By replacing the traditional water geyser element with a heat exchange system you can produce 3kW of heating with 750W of energy consumption.
